Apple has unveiled the tenth-generation iPad in India. The new entry-level model significantly outperforms its predecessor due to upgrades like a new design, more display space, USB Type-C charging, and support for 5G.

On Tuesday, the new iPad (10th Gen) went up for pre-order on the Apple website. On Wednesday, October 26, it became available in stores.

Apple iPad 10th Generation

Apple iPad 10th Gen Specifications:

The price of the new iPad’s 64GB Wi-Fi model is Rs 44,900, while the price of the Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at Rs 59,900. The new iPad from Apple is available in the colors blue, pink, yellow, and silver.

Display and Camera Upgrades:

Apple’s most recent entry-level iPad has Wi-Fi 6, 5G support, and a USB-C port. It includes iPad OS 16 and is Apple Pencil compatible (1st generation). The new iPad is now 10.9 inches instead of 10.6 inches in the previous model even though it takes up roughly the same amount of space. This is because the bezels have been slightly reduced on all sides to give you a more edge-to-edge screen.

It is still an LCD screen with a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels, a brightness of 500 nits, and a True Tone. Although the selfie camera is now in landscape orientation, it is still 12MP and supports center stage like the previous model. Another 12MP camera with 4K video capability is located on the back.

What’s fresh and new?

The home button for Touch ID on the 10th-generation iPad is not present. Instead, Apple added a fingerprint sensor to the tablet’s power button, which is located at the top and to the left. Touch ID is also present on the power button of the iPad Air.

You get the A14 Bionic chip, which, in Apple’s estimation, offers a 20 percent CPU and 10 percent graphics speedup over the previous generation.

Should you buy the new iPad?

The new 10th-generation iPad looks exciting on paper, and its extensive feature set demonstrates why Apple’s entry-level tablet is popular with so many users, including students. However, the new model is almost as expensive as the iPad Mini at Rs 44,900. The new iPad is the one for you if you’re looking for an iPad with a contemporary design. We believe that the base iPad, which is frequently offered for Rs 26,000 online, makes more sense for the majority of people.
