Reliance Industries Ltd’s chairman, Mukesh Ambani is now the 4th richest person in the world. The Indian billionaire is now worth $80.6 billion, after amassing $22 billion this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

He overtook Europe’s richest person, France’s Bernard Arnault. He is the chairman and chief executive of LVMH Moet Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE, the world’s largest luxury-goods company. 

Mukesh Ambani previously overtook noteworthy billionaires like Warren Buffet and Elon Musk. Also, he’s only behind Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg now.

Amazon founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos is the rischest person in the word with a net worth of $189.8 billion, according to Forbes.

Mr. Ambani recently shared his plans to take Jio 5G globally and has shown interest towards the e-commerce sector with Jiomart. Reliance’s shares have soared in the past few months due to recent investments by Facebook and Google. Google said last month it will spend $10 billion in the coming years to help accelerate the adoption of digital technology in India.
